Premium Puppy Treat Package
Using treats to encourage good behavior is one of the best ways to teach your puppy the behaviors you like. Not all treats are created equal and some are going to be much more enticing than others. We have created a bundle of seven different types of treats to entice your pet. This bundle features a variety of textures and flavors, including freeze-dried treats which are some of the most enticing of all!
Grooming Package for Med-Large Breed, Nonshedding Dogs
One of the most important things to manage long-term when owning a large breed dog with a fluffy, non-shedding coat, is the grooming requirements. You want to acclimate your puppy to its maintenance activities while the puppy is a small, manageable size so that when the puppy grows up, grooming will not be an unpleasant experience. Dogs that have hair instead of fur need their coat brushed daily to prevent mats, knots, and snarls. Grooming is also a social activity so you have an opportunity to bond more closely with your large breed shedding puppy if you make grooming a positive experience. This video shows you all the appropriate accessories for the core maintenance needs of dogs with this coat type. We also offer all these items in-store or online as a curated bundle at a discounted price. If you have any questions about this assortment, please call or stop by the store and ask for a Pet Counselor.

Information
Miniature Goldendoodle
Breed: Goldendoodle Mini
Pet ID: 242971-08
Color: RedMiniature Goldendoodles are an ideal first dog for many families. This breed combines the traits of small poodles with the lovable Golden Retriever. They are a small to medium size, low-shedding to non-shedding, friendly, trainable, people pleasing breed. Mini goldendoodles are known for their gentle and mild-tempered natures. These dogs are eager to please and are loyal, sociable, and incredibly playful. Both poodles and golden retrievers are also known for their intelligence, so mini goldendoodles take on this trait, making them easy to train. Just be aware that they are also energetic, so you’ll need to keep them exercised and mentally stimulated.
The Miniature Goldendoodle will be a good fit for your family if you are:
- Comfortable with a medium-high energy dog
- Able to provide a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise per day
- An allergy sufferer and require a dog that’s lower shedding to possibly hypoallergenic
- Looking for more of a family dog than a watchdog
History
Miniature Goldendoodles were initially bred in the 1990s. They inherited their calm and gentle trait from their Golden Retriever father and their intelligent trait from their Miniature Poodle mother. This breed has grown in popularity and makes a perfect family pet who trains well and loves his family.
Personality
The Miniature Goldendoodle has an affectionate, sweet, gentle, and happy personality. This breed enjoys the companionship of their family and other dogs in the household. They seek your attention and care and show it by giving the same back. They make marvelous family pets and adapt well to apartment-style and conventional style housing. This is a puppy that does inherit energy from both the golden retriever and poodle so owners should cater to this by promoting games and activities such as fetch, walks, agility, and puzzle toys. With Miniature Poodle and Golden Retriever parents, both known for their amazing qualities, the Mini Goldendoodle is sure to fit right in with your family and other pets.
Appearance
Daily brushing of this breed’s coat is very important for his well-being. A good routine to get into is a quick morning brush when he wakes up, a bi-weekly bath, and monthly nail clipping. This will allow your pup to look and feel great and is a great way to assure long-term health. Much of the Mini Goldendoodle’s appearance in the home will be dictated by the haircut you select. As this breed’s coat typically continues to grow, regular hair cuts (every 4 to 8 weeks) will be necessary to maintain the appearance you desire. This breed can be found in a variety of colors ranging from red, black, sable, tannish brown, and cream tones, and ever merle!. Their beautiful colored coats tend to glisten and are certainly eye-catching. This breed’s coat ranges from flat to tight curls. There are rare occasions, particularly with first generation (Miniature Poodle x Golden Retriever mixes) or multi-generation (Mini Goldendoodle x Mini Goldenedoodle) where. the pet will shed to some degree as it reaches maturity. The shedding variants will require less grooming via haircuts but more brushing.
Life Expectancy
- The average Miniature Goldendoodle stands between thirteen to twenty inches tall.
- This breed weighs fifteen to thirty-five pounds.
- Mini Goldendoodles have an average life expectancy of ten to fifteen years.

FAQs
Most Mini Goldendoodles available today will be a combination of a Miniature or Toy poodle dad to a mini Goldendoodle mom. This version of the mini Goldendoodles often fully takes on the non shedding, poodle style coat thus it will often not shed and be a good choice for people with allergies. There are rare occasions, particularly with first generation (Miniature Poodle x Golden Retriever mixes) or multi-generation (Mini Goldendoodle x Mini Goldenedoodle) where the pet will shed to some degree as it reaches maturity. The shedding variants will require less grooming via haircuts but more brushing. Since all Mini Goldendoodles have some degree of Golden Retriever in their background, if allergies are a primary need, we suggest you also consider a pure breed Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. This breed has adult traits very similar to Mini Goldendoodles but it is a pure breed, does not shed, and is an excellent choice for people with allergies. If you ask your groomer to maintain the coat of your wheaten terrier just like they would for a mini Goldendoodle, most people would not know the difference.
